0-6 Month Baby Gift Ideas
Infantino Discover and Play Activity Mirror
From the time my daughter could roll to her side and later learning to roll to her belly, she has loved looking at herself in the mirror and playing with the little toys attached to it.
You can strap this particular mirror in your car, to the side of the crib, or just prop it up on the ground for them to look and play with.
Lamaze Mortimer The Moose, Clip On Toy
Her favorite features of this moose are the skinny legs that are easy to hold as well as the rings to grab and put in her mouth, the crinkly sounds it makes and loves chewing on the feet. This is something we take everywhere we go.
The Play Gym By Lovevery
With the size of this play gym and all the activities it offers, it occupies and teaches babies from birth to over a year of age! I’m all about baby items that can be utilized for many months to years, so this is a favorite of mine.
Pre-Made Activity box
KiwiCo offers age-appropriate activity boxes for each developmental age range. It takes the guessing out of “what should I do with my baby today?”. The Panda Crate was made for ages 0-24 months. It was developed in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital. Each crate helps babies learn by doing what they do best — playing, exploring, and most importantly, interacting with the adults in their lives! Crates arrive every other month and are filled with two months’ worth of items for baby to learn and play with!
2022 Update : My daughter is now on to the Koala Crate (for ages 2-4) and recently had a visit at her pediatrician. He was thrilled with her mental and motor skill development, saying how advanced she is for her age! I’m sure some of these age-appropriate toys and activities as well as time spent working with her have attributed to her advancement!
The Wonderful Things You Will Be
This book is my favorite to read to my baby. I’ve read it to her since she was in the womb and will continue to read it to her as she gets older.
It is the sweetest book and has beautiful illustrations. A must-have for any children’s book collection.

Crinkle Books
Any high contrast, colorful crinkle book! My daughter loves them. Her crinkle book actually came from Dollar General and is one of her favorite toys to play with.
Ryan and Rose Cutie PAT Pacifier Stage 2
This is another favorite for my child. She doesn’t use this as a pacifier though (never cared much for pacifiers). She uses it as a teether.
And that’s what the “stage 2” is designed for. Another plus is that with the cute little handle, she has learned to hold onto it and get the paci into her own mouth! Which is an accomplishment at her age!
6-12 Month Baby Gift Ideas
Shape Sorter
Shape sorters are great for fine motor skills! By ages 6-12 months, babies are typically able to sit up and start playing with these types of toys! Its exciting to see them learn to sort the shapes.
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Sis
We take Smart Stages Sis with us while traveling or running errands. With the combination of lights, songs, and buttons, it grabs the interest of my baby so she will stop crying in her car seat.
If you’re a mama, you know how sad it is when your baby is crying in the back seat and you can’t safely take them out and cuddle them! Sis is our distraction for that.

First 100 Board Book Box Set (3 books)
I’m SO excited to be teaching my daughter things. These books teach all the basics of words, colors, numbers, letters, and animals.
Baby Touch and Feel Animals book
This touch and feel book is very similar to the one I loved as a little kid. It was entertaining to me flipping through the book and touching all the different textures. At this age, babies take in so much and this touch and feel book is a great way to have a fun sensory experience for a baby.
Melissa & Doug pop blocks farm animals
If you’re looking for toys to help build hand-eye coordination skills, these pop blocks would be a great gift idea. Your baby can learn about farm animals and have fun popping them together.
Game Controller
My husband is a gamer and our daughter has started trying to play with his Xbox controller. I found a children’s version of the controller that is great for her to imagine playing along with her daddy. It also has songs that teach shapes, numbers, colors, and the alphabet.
Baby Einstein Magic Touch Piano Wooden Musical Toy
I just ordered this magic touch wooden piano from Amazon and love to watch my daughter play with it. When I was younger, I loved musical instruments (and still do) so now that she is able to sit up with a little help, she can play with this piano! This piano is my personal favorite out of all the listed gift ideas for baby’s first Christmas.
6-12 Month Baby Stocking Stuffer Ideas
Manhattan Wooden Toy Classic Baby Beads
These wooden beads are great for clutching and teething, twisting, pulling, and rattling. The reviews on it were great, all the parents talk about how it helps with motor skills!
The First Years Stack Up Cup
Help them learn to stack and fit one cup inside the other with nesting cups. These have over 4,000 good reviews on Amazon, so I had to get them!
