If you haven’t heard about the Owlet Dream Sock baby monitor, it’s a wireless device that you place on your baby’s foot.
The Owlet Dream Sock constantly reads your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels. If either of them go above or below a safe level, you will be alerted by the Owlet app on your smartphone and the base station of the Owlet, with a loud musical tune. The base station will turn from green (meaning everything is good) to red (meaning the baby may need help) if there is any reading that is concerning.
Beware – there can be false readings if the sock is not placed correctly on the baby’s foot. This happened to me two or three times and scared me at first until I realized the sock just wasn’t laying flat on my baby’s foot – therefore wasn’t getting a proper reading. Simply take the sock off and put it on again, and allow it to get a better reading to ensure your baby is safe.
We had the Owlet Smart Sock 2 with our first child, and now the Owlet Dream Sock with our second. They both are wonderful devices that I will recommend to any parent.

The Owlet has been a comfort to have in the 24 hours after our baby gets vaccinated.
