There are 7 main ways to monetize a blog. Some easier than others, but if you pick a few to start with, you are sure to make money with your blog quickly.
I made $60 in my first month blogging with only affiliate marketing; which doesn’t sound like a lot, but many people don’t make any money in their first month because they don’t know how to monetize or promote their website!

Affiliate Marketing
You may be wondering how affiliate marketing works.
First, you’ll find a product you enjoy using and would recommend to others. Then, sign up for their affiliate program, which is usually listed at the bottom of the retailer’s website.
You will then promote their products or services on your blog and gain a commission from each sale or click that you send to them.
This is the very first thing I did to start making money from my blog.

The easiest, most passive way to make money blogging is with ads.
Google Adsense accepts new blogs as long as you have the required pages such as a privacy policy.
Though Google Adsense doesn’t pay as much as other ad companies, it does accept websites with low monthly views. Thus enabling you to make some money as a beginner blog.
As you gain more views each month, you can apply to higher-paying ad sites such as Mediavine ( They have updated the requirments to 50,000 sessions/month to be accepted to this one), media.net, and AdThrive.

Course Creation
Courses are one of the most lucrative ways to monetize your blog.
Creating a course sounds hard, but it’s really not. I’m part of a great site called Teachable that will walk you through how to create a course with helpful information on their site along with great examples. You can get started for free with this link!
You can charge the price you think the course is worth and use it as a way to increase your email list as well!

YouTube
After writing your blog post, make a video talking about all the points you made in your post.
Upload the video on your YouTube channel with the name of your blog website.
Some people simply don’t like reading, but will gladly watch a video!
Take advantage of this and even mention your blog website in the video and put a link to it in the video description.
You can also include your affiliate links in the description as well.
E-Book Sales
Just like creating a course, e-books are easy to create and can be made and sold on Amazon.
With Amazon and Kindle Direct Publishing, you can publish your book for free and see it for sale on Amazon. You can then link to it on your blog or send a link to your email list for your readers to buy the E-book! It’s that simple.
There is a potential to earn up to 70% in royalties and you can sell to customers in the U.S., U.K, Germany, and more. With the potential to reach so many countries, you can also publish your book in other languages!
There are so many ways to monetize your blog and enable you to make loads of money from blogging. All you have to do is get started with a few, promote, promote, promote, and see your money roll in!
